The Cub Inn opened in April 2009, and is a life-long dream of husband and wife team, Charleen Beam and Joe Riley. Both Southern California natives, Charleen, a UC Berkeley graduate and 20-year veteran in sales and marketing, is a licensed pilot who flies a Piper Cub, and Joe is a retired mechanical engineer and a commercial-rated pilot who has flown for many years, both in the military and as a private citizen. Our dream was to build a log cabin and turn it into a Bed & Breakfast. But we wanted to offer something unique – not just your typical B&B! Our mission was to create an informal atmosphere in which our guests would feel comfortable enough to put their feet on the furniture – as if they were in their own home, and take in the beautiful nature and peacefulness that surrounds our three-acre setting. |
